Happy Saturday to my fellow ‘hoppers.’ Today I have a snippet from my recently released book, Expecting it All. If you’ve ever wondered what age-play BDSM couples do when they decide to have kids of their own, this is the book for you. Yes, it is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. Master Derek has his hands full with his infant son and decided to call his best friend over to assist with babysitting duties. Let’s take a peek, shall we?
By the time Lukus arrived, Derek was seriously considering calling an ambulance. Babies didn’t just cry for no reason. Something had to be wrong.
Lukus must have heard the wails from outside because he let himself into the kitchen. Derek didn’t miss his friend’s look of terror as he glanced over at the pacing father. Derek would have loved to give him shit about it—but he probably didn’t look much better himself.
“He still won’t shut up, eh?” Lukus prodded.

“Very perceptive of you.”
“Fuck off.”
“Hey, don’t cuss in front of my kid.”
“If you wanted Mary Poppins, you called the wrong guy. I told you, I know jack about taking care of babies.”

Have you ever wondered what happens to the relationship when age-play couples decide to have children? Derek and Rachel Parker have been married for five years, and while Rachel adores her ‘Daddy’, and being his little girl, she longs to have a baby of her own.
When she finally becomes pregnant, Rachel is overjoyed, but all too soon she begins to realize that a baby changes everything. How can she still be her Daddy’s ‘little girl’ when she becomes a mother herself? None of the pregnancy advice books say anything about maintaining a healthy age-play/BDSM relationship in the face of real parenthood.
Derek, too, finds himself tormented by sudden fears and doubts. He loves caring for Rachel as a BDSM ‘Daddy’, but this will be different. He’s going to be a real father to a real infant; wholly dependent on him for round-the-clock care and nurturing. Can he do it?
‘Expecting it All’ takes a deeper look into the psychology and love behind age-play. Don’t miss this opportunity to get a front row seat as we watch two beloved characters from the Passion Series have their new, exciting futures shaped with childbirth and parenthood, through tears and laughter. All the characters you know and love from Grant’s powerful ensemble cast make an appearance in this, the fifth, fun, and light-hearted installment of Livia Grant’s best-selling series! Best of all, this book can be read as a standalone!

I found it interesting that your original title for the story was Three Doms and a baby. I will say, however, that Derek’s child will never want for anything with those protective men surrounding him. It’s like having three fathers all intent on making sure you’re taken care of. Lukus may not know much about handling kids, but he still came at once when Derek called him. Good friends.
Thanks so much for that observation, Kathryn. Very astute observation about their friendship and yes, I suspect young Michael will have more than a few alpha role models in his life. Glad you enjoyed the excerpt.
You had me at “baby.” Sounds awesome! I’m a sucker for any story that results in a baby. 🙂
Hope you enjoy it, Normandie!
A crying baby puts people on edge unlike any other sound.
I can see all sorts of interesting parallels between the new baby and the one that is Rachel.
Bold concept.
Thanks, Libby. I hope I do the complex subject justice. 🙂
3 doms and a baby! So hilarious…and such a great tale of Rachel and her Daddy…and their newborn!
Thanks, Lee. Knowing the three of them as you do, I’m sure you can see how this will go. 🙂
Oh gosh, I love it! “If you wanted Mary Poppins…” ! hahaha
Great snippet!
Thanks, Jane. I had so much fun writing this scene. 🙂
